that is similar to programs such as Skype, Teams, and professional communications platforms
like Slack. Make sure you stop in and learn more about it.

September 22, 2022 in person at the Clubhouse and via the Zoom Video

HOTARC Meeting of Members
August 25, 2022
President Jeb Leutwyler KG5WHS called the meeting to order
at 7:00 pm in person and in the ZOOM Meeting Room.
Bill Feltenberger KD5UEW gave the invocation.
President Jeb Leutwyler KG5WHS led us in the Pledge of
Allegiance. 15 members were present, and 2 visitors: Jerry
Lenamon KWBT-FM and Andrew Wallace KI5VBG.
Bill Feltenberger KD5UEW moved and Kirk Lieder K5KCL
seconded to accept the minutes of the previous meeting as
presented in the HOTLINE. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report: The Treasurers Report for July 2022 as
published in the HOTLINE was filed. We received $2000.00
from WWW100 that will be included on next month’s
statement.
Committee Reports:
· ARES/RACES: Upcoming RACES training. Operation Urgent
Need. 9/23/2022.
· Trailer Committee: Nothing to report.
· Repeater Committee: Meridian repeater is up, 147.18
Digital. Echolink is functioning properly.
· Web Committee: All good.
· ATV: Nothing to report
· Education Committee: No report
· Public Relations: None
· Special Events: WWW100 is Sept 24. Still could use some volunteers.
Unfinished Business: No unfinished business.
New Business: None

Hi, HOTARC!
Operation Urgent Need State Wide Exercise -TX RACES
Region 09 TX RACES
Its Fall exercise time! HOTARC will conduct a NET on Friday 23
rd
at 8:00 PM. We will be in the midst of preparing for
the WWW100 but maximum participation is appreciated. We will conduct a voice NET followed by a Winlink Check in.
Please attend the meeting Thursday if you can. It will be a busy weekend! RACES or ARES membership is not required
for this NET.
As always, the ARES team is ready to deploy if needed. Thanks to everyone who is part of the team!
If you are interested in becoming a member of McLennan County ARES, go to the HOTARC Web site under the frequently
asked questions and download the application. E-mail or mail the completed application according to the instructions
listed at the bottom of the application. Your application will be processed and you will receive an ARES ID Card. Check in
to the Weekly McLennan County ARES net every Monday at 8:00 PM on the 145.15 repeater (tone 123.0). If you have a
sincere desire to help, registration is necessary before the next emergency, not after it occurs. We are also beginning to
include our 70 cm repeater 442.875 MHz (input at +5.0 MHz, tone 123 Hz).
